In Louisiana where it's always hot, we just don't know how to retire summer clothes. Shorts, tees + flip flops well into November is not unusual and highly likely. So the transition between seasons is a little trickier for us in the South, in fact, Fall is nonexistent here. This summer I was stuck on little jumpers, so I tried experimenting on how to incorporate them into a transitional fall outfit - because I am determined to celebrate Fall fashion. Maybe it's a cop-out that I just stuck a brown flower on my head, but I actually think it's just the right amount to introduce a fall color.

Five years ago, my bf and I built our first home from the ground up. Decorating your first home is tough and ongoing. For me, it was important for each room to have it's own identity and feel, and be completely different from one another. The best way to bring out the personality of a room is to mix old with new, very much like an outfit. I wanted this guest bedroom to feel light + airy with an influence of past places we've traveled. If you're like me, you always wonder how people live + what their homes look like, so eventually I hope to invite you into my world, and take you on the full tour through future posts.
